Twins Bedroom

Mom & Dad - I hope you love them!  It was my pleasure to spend this time with you and thank you for choosing me to document your twins.  You did a fantastic job in decorating the baby's new room and I loved all the bright colors.  I enjoyed our photo session for your maternity portraits and baby's room and look forward to Jack and Elizabeth's arrival.

New Facebook Profile

I just designed a new facebook profile image.  It is an unusual shape and more creative than the normal square or small rectangle profile picture.   I used 800 pixels x 2400 pixels format and added various images working in layers.

Brother & Sister

I love capturing happy children, casual and unposed.  This brother and sister were having so much fun and stopped just long enought to let me grab this photograph.  What I love about his photograph is the touch of backlighting, the brothers arms around his sister and her torn jeans.

Senior Sports Photographs

This is a great post processing technique that lends itself to senior boys sports photography.  The technique emphasizes the textures and highlights the helmet hardware and can give a photo a very rough masculine feel.  I usually limit the use of this technique to photos that do not show a persons face but this is an exception.

Artistic Maternity Sessions

I am preparing for a couple of upcoming maternity sessions and would like to share my thoughts and ideas on todays contemporary maternity photography.

Today it does not have to be baggy maternity clothing for a portrait session, in fact garments that are form fitting and adhere to your body's curves acutally work best.  I think fluid fabrics make wonderful wraps for a maternity session and I have a variety of fabrics and colors.  Other garments to consider are camisoles, tube tops, a negligee, a man's shirt, blue jeans or a fitted dress and high heels with pearls. . .  have fun and be creative!

Your maternity session can take place in the comfort of your home or at a favorite outdoor location, plan to use part of your session as a couple or with other siblings.  Today's maternity sessions can result in exquisite images that will become tommorrows cherished heirloom.

When it comes time to select your prints think about having a custom artistc piece designed.  It can be soft and romantic, grainy, sepia colored, vintage or black and white, then add a special verse or poem or some meaninful words to make it truly unique.
