HOW I WORK 

I offer casual, relaxed portrait sessions in your home or yard, at one of your favorite outdoor settings, or in my studio.  I strive to create beautiful and memorable portraits of people, families and children.  As important as capturing a face, I aim to also capture and document your personality as well as those timeless moments.  


MY INSPIRATION  
My inspiration comes from who you are, the location, the family dynamic, your clothing or even a subjects personality as well as lighting or time of day.  I don't have set poses and I don't over-direct, I try to capture what comes natural with gentle direction.


CLOTHING
Clothing sets the mood for the session, try to coordinate it for your chosen location.  Wear something that relects who your are, it can be classic and timeless, or fun and colorful, funky and edgy whatever fits your personality.  And fun accessories and props always add a personal touch and help tell your story.  I might suggest to avoid bold heavy patterns or big logos.

Sessions fees start at $70..

PRINTS and PRODUCTS

Print prices start at $12.  I also offer digital images, canvas gallery wraps, storyboards, session albums, coffee table books, and custom made holiday, birth and graduation announcements.  For more information see the Products tab on the homepage of my blog.

AFTER THE SESSION - PROOFS

It will take approximately two weeks to prepare your images.  I try to offer a sneak peek on my facebook or my blog within the first 48 hours.  When you images are edited you will be sent an email link to your online gallery.  Your patience during this time is very much appreciated.

INDULGENCE . . . . something you enjoy, giving way to one's desires, something granted as a privilege or enjoyed out of gratification.

These sessions are customized to feature your favorite "indulgence."  Bring your golf clubs, a cigar, your favorite wine or brandy or just a bottle or beer.  Have a great tattoo, we can feature it!  Maybe its a sport such as weight lifting, baseball, tennis or fishing, bring your gear and we'll create a one of a kind portrait.

Couple / Relationship Sessions are for couples wanting creative portraits taken together.  It could be to celebrate an engagement or anniversary, or just to celebrate your love.  

The style of the session is up to you, it can be fun and funky, romantic, classic, casual . . . whatever fits your personality.  Be yourself and have fun with each other to create some portraits that capture the true relationship between you.  Sessions can take place on location at a place that has a special meaning for the two of you, or in the studio.

A family portrait session is all about the story of your family.  Your family is always changing and unique so don't miss out on those chapters in your families history.

Family sessions can take place at a location that is special to you, in your home or at the studio.   

What is your families style?  What type of look, casual, playful or more formal?  When planning your session plan for clothing that coordinates in tone and color and style that describes you. 

Don't forget accessories such as shoes, socks, jackets, hats, a wagon or bike for little ones, balloons, etc. Maybe you want to forego the shoes and socks for a casual barefoot look, whatever tells the story of your family.

A Boudoir Session is not something we do everyday, for some of us it's a once in a lifetime experience, and as such many questions may come to mind from wardrobe, preparation, to the final products.  Today's boudoir is fun, tasteful, sexy and sophisticated.  My goal is to answer your questions and make you feel totally comfortable and relaxed.

Celebrate your sexy self . .  maybe you are newly single, just reached a fabulous milestone, planning a wedding, expecting a baby, need a special gift for the man who has everything or . .  just to say I love you. 

Remember, you don't need the perfect body to look stunning in Boudoir Photography.  The idea is to look incredibly sexy and alluring, it really is more of an attitude or state of mind than the state of dress or undress.  The clothing you choose can reveal as much or as little as you want.  You can use an oversized man's shirt, tee-shirts, a sexy cocktail dress, blue-jeans, lingerie, or sheer fabric body wraps, all will create absolutely stunning shots.

I offer sessions in your home, private studio sessions, or party session with three or more girlfriends.  I also use advanced retouching to minimize flaws, blemishes, scars, unwanted lines on the neck and eyes, and even out skin tones.

There is no better time for a woman to be photographed than when she is waiting for the arrival or their baby!  A maternity session can result in equisite images that honor the creation of your family with each generation.  I strive to capture a mothers radiance through creative and tasteful portraits that show her beauty at this remarkable time in her life. 

I offer sessions in your home, a special outdoor location or in my studio.

Seven to eight months is a good time, this ensures you will have a nice round belly but not be uncomfortable during the session.  I also like to Include your partner or other siblings in part of your session.  If you are bringing young siblings it may help to have an extra hand such as a grandparent or friend to help out.

I recommend wearing non-maternity clothing, in fact garments that are form fitting and adhere to your body's curves work best.  I have a variety of sheer fabrics wraps I use that look beautiful in portraits.  Also, camisoles, tube or tank style tops, a negligee, a man's shirt, blue jeans, sweat pants or a sexy sweater all work great!

Be sure to include a favorite stuffed animal, special toy, baby booties, a story book or a copy of your ultra sound picture (in a frame is best) for props to tell your babies story.

Retouching stretch marks is standard for maternity session, I can retouch as much or as little as you like.

For newborns . . .  the earlier the better.

Newborns are best photographed during the first 10-14 days after birth.  During this very limited time babies have that special newborn look, are easy to position, and have a beautiful "curl" when they sleep. 

How to schedule:  Just give me your due date (or induction date) I'll leave room on the calendar that month so we can photograph your baby within the first  14 days.  After your babies birth give me a call and we'll set set a specific date and time. I also like to include parent and siblings in this session with the new member of the family.  

A newborn session can be in your home, outdoors (if the weather is warm) or in the studio.  Your session will not be rushed and allows for multiple clothing or diaper changes or a snack or bottle. I like to keep newborn sessions simple but we can incorporate some of your own personal items such as a special hat or blanket or some of my own props to create images that are uniquely yours.  And don't worry about that stray blemish, a scratch on the nose or baby acne, I will make your baby look their absolute best!

BABY NURSERY SESSION 

A nursery session can be scheduled as a separate session anytime or at the same time as your newborn session if you elect to have a newborn session in your home. 

Nursery photographs combined with your maternity and newborn photos together make a great addition to an album or book and a great heirloom for your little one.

After a newborn session posing options are limited until your baby can sit up unassisted, usually around 6-8 months.  Around six months, babies tend to be more alert and engaging, they have discovered their toes and smiles around this age are great!

The next baby session opportunity is usually around one year for their first birthday.  When babies can stand, even just holding onto furniture, they are bright-eyed and excited and beginning to interact with everyone around them.  This is a great time to capture meaningful pictures of your baby's first tooth, their favorite toy, sitting, laughing, crawling and even standing!

I also like to include a cake smash in a one year session.  Things that can be used in a cake smash session are a small cake or even a special cupcake, balloons, paper banners, birthday hat or crown, a special candle, etc.     

Children change so fast and go through so many phases and stages in their lives and portraits are important to preserve each stage of their lives forever.  I recommend having a child's portrait taken at six month intervals.

I am a firm believer in letting your kids be kids.  Let them play, have fun and be themselves for those natural smiles and laughs that truly capture their personalities. If your child has a favorite toy or blanket, be sure to bring it along as these portraits are all about capturing your unique child's personality.  Outdoors pulling a wagon, swinging on a rope swing, riding a bike can all be fun, using things they love as props is a great way to remember each stage of your child's life.  
  
Schedule a time when your child is the happiest and avoid nap times.  Your location sets the tone and determines the clothing and type of session, mix it up between causal and dressy, funky and fun .  Two outfits are what most children will tolerate but bring an extra just in case. Don't forget accessories such as jackets, hats, shoes (or no shoes), tutus, blows or headbands just to name a few.  

Your session can take place at your home or yard, a park or the studio.  Sometimes if you are bringing more than one child it helps having an extra hand such as a spouse, friend or grandparent to help out.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

Each senior session is custom tailored to fit and showcase your personality and style.  I use creative poses to highlight your interests, hobbies and extra curricular activities like sports, band and much more. 

Sessions are scheduled so you are not rushed and have plenty of time . . . you can even include your best friend or a pet in a few photos. 

 I can link your online proof album to your facebook page so you can show all your friends.

Schedule an "after" prom session for a fun, edgy photo shoot. 

Ask about a BFF package and include your best friend
