Bridal Boudoir Great Gift
My bride and her mother are having so much fun planning her upcoming December wedding in Florida, lots of unique touches that will make it so special and memorable. Mom made her dress and even helped out with accessories and shopping for the boudoir session. My bride is unable to drive as she just had foot surgery so she and mom came to the boudoir session together. Speaking of surgery . . . can you believe my bride had a cast on one foot that went up to her knee so we had to work all the photography around not showing the cast! Oh, I love your eyes, just beautiful! I'll let you know when your proofs are posted, be patient.
Congratulations I can't wait to hear all about your fabulous wedding!

Jenna & Jessica My Family Reps
Meet Jessica 8 and Jenna 14 my Family Reps. Here are some of my favorites of the girls from our family session a week ago. When I do a family session I always like to include portraits of brothers and sisters that capture a bit of their personality. As you can see Jessica LOVES her scooter, she also likes gymnastics, Barbies, American Girl dolls, Brownie Girl Scouts, and wants to be a teacher or nurse when she grows up. Jenna struck a couple of great poses for me when she got warmed up and her main hobby at 14 is hanging out with her friends. She also likes reading, movies and photography and wants to be a teacher someday.

Larry and Denese Family
Another great weekend for outdoor family sessions. Larry and Denese brought all their children together this weekend for some fall family portraits. Lots of happy kids, colorful sweaters, fall leaves and a few great locations made for a really fun session. Thanks kids (and mom and dad) for putting up with all my strange requests! Hope you love your pictures, I think they are beautiful!

Gordinier Family Outdoor Session
The Gordinier's have graciously volunteered to be my Family Reps for the next year. They are excited to have the opportunity get their lives on film, (Jay saiys he's always the one behind the camera), and I am excited to have them represent the studio. Jay and Deb own a new community business (more about that later) and said that working together has been the best thing that ever happend to them. They prefer casual poses and settings so we decided to visit the Depot Park for our first session to take advantage of the nice weather and fall colors. Depot Park has a great gazebo and bridge which offered some great backgrounds for our portraits. We met in the afternoon to take advantage of the lower sun level which I could use for backlighting and sun flares. With backlighting you avoid squinting faces and the rim light gives a nice glow to portraits. I also use supplimental portrait lighting for outdoor sessions to balance the light and keep any shadows on faces light and open.
Here are a few of my favorite portraits from the park.

Meet the Gordinier Family
My New Family Reps
I have been looking for a fun family to represent the studio for awhile and a friend put me in touch with the Gordiniers. I wanted a fun family that is involved in the community, with children, able to meet with me for a variety of sessions over the next year and willing to allow me to do some testing whether it be lighting, poses, props, new products and so on. I met with the Gordinier's this weekend for an outdoor fall session and they fit the bill! They were so fun and Jenna and Jessica are just so darn cute, Mom and Dad added a mix of humor, and everyone just went with the flow. I am sure everyone is home resting their cheeks today from two hours of all those smiles and laughing. Here is a sneak peek, and it really is just a sneak peek, but I promise there are some great photographs coming soon, so check back. Thanks to the Gordinier's for so gratiously offering me their time and beautiful family.
